BWPA Summer Symposium 2019, 05- 07 June 2019

The Summer event is probably one of the very few occasions that European pulp and papermakers can network and socialise without the pressure of negotiations. It’s a great chance to meet up before the Summer break and touch base with what’s happening on the global market.

We have an exceptional programme this year:

Global Economics: What next?

Vicky Pryce, Chief Economic Advisor at the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR).

China – Where will the slowdown hurt most?

James Kynge, Emerging Markets Editor and Associate Editor, the Financial Times.

NGOs & Retailers – Just plastic in their sights or are they coming back for P&B?

Paul Foulkes Arellano, Precipice Design, A Plastic Planet, Sustainable Design Alliance.

Read more about Paul here.

The Outlook for Market Pulp

Hawkins Wright. Read more about HW here

Following the success of last year’s event, we will be returning to The Richmond Hill Hotel, Richmond, Surrey. The hotel is within easy reach of Heathrow airport and central London.

There will be meetings for BWPA members on Wednesday afternoon and all our guests are invited to join us on Wednesday evening for dinner at the hotel.

Thursday morning will begin with the usual choice of leisure activities – golf, karting and wine tasting or the option to visit Kew Gardens which is within easy reach.

The Symposium on Thursday afternoon will take place at the Royal Mid Surrey Golf Club, followed by dinner.
